DO REGISTRATIONS INCLUDE THE HIRING OF AN E-MTB?
No. Registration includes only participation in the Valtellina Ebike Festival activities. Participants must arrive at the meeting points of the activities equipped with an e-MTB (their own or rented).
CAN BIKES BE RENTED AT THE EBIKE VILLAGE?
There are e-bike rental points at the ebike village. Due to the high demand, we recommend you to contact the VEF rental partners in advance (to rent your bike.)
DOES REGISTRATION INCLUDE INSURANCE IN CASE OF ACCIDENTS?
Yes, registration for Valtellina Ebike Festival includes an insurance policy.
DO I NEED A MEDICAL-SPORTS CERTIFICATE?
All the Valtellina Ebike Festival activities are classified by the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) as 'non-competitive cycling' and do not require a medical certificate. A sports medical certificate is required to participate in e-Enduro races, as required by the regulation.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED?
In case of cancellation of the event due to force majeure, the registrations will be kept valid for the 2024 edition of the Valtellina Ebike Festival.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER?
Valtellina Ebike Festival activities will take place in any weather conditions that do not prejudice the safety of the participants. If, due to force majeure, the event should not take place, the participation fee will not be refunded but will be transferred to the next edition of the event.
DO THE ACTIVITIES HAVE A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS?
Yes, some activities of Valtellina Ebike Festival have a maximum number of participants in order not to create chaotic situations and to guarantee everyone the best possible experience.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO REGISTER ON SITE?
Yes, on-site registration is possible subject to availability (there is a maximum number of participants for each activity). However, in order to avoid confusion on the days of the event:
- We strongly recommend online registration;
- Registration are also open at the eBike Village office on Friday 26 May from 4 pm to 7 pm;
- On-site registrations incurs a surcharge of € 5,00.
IS THE E-BIKE VILLAGE OPEN TO EVERYONE OR ONLY TO PARTICIPANTS IN THE EVENT?
Valtellina Ebike Festival village, set up in Morbegno centre, is open to everyone.
CAN THE UNDERAGE PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES?
Valtellina Ebike Festival activities are also open to the underaged. However, we ask their companions to carefully consider the types, difficulties and height differences of each route so as not to create difficulties for the young participants and the other participants in the activities.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO PARTICIPATE WITH NORMAL MOUNTAIN BIKES?
Yes, it is possible to participate with normal MTB in the Festival Ride and in the Gusto di Valtellina tour, which has very little altitude difference. Participation with non-electric bikes is not permitted in all other activities.
WHERE CAN I FIND PARKING?
There are a limited number of car parks in the area near the eBike Village, but there are several parking areas in Morbegno. The main ones are shown on this map.
WHERE IS IT POSSIBLE TO STAY?
There is a “Where to Stay” page on the website with partner accommodations of the Valtellina Ebike Festival. No more than 20 minutes by car from Morbegno there are many hotels, B&B and holiday homes where you can stay.
WHERE IS IT POSSIBLE TO STAY WITH THE CAMPER?
In Morbegno there is the 'Valley Camp' camper area, which you can contact at +39 371 5178732. There are other camper van areas no more than 30 minutes away from Morbegno in Val Masino (https://www.valmasino.info/), in Val Chiavenna (http://www.valchiavenna.com/) and on Lake Como (https://www.northlakecomo.net/).
